Synopsis
This project was two-fold. The first part of the project involved redesigning the website for the Residential Network Department (ResNET) . The style and design of the website was to allow student to gain easy access to critical network information. In addition to the site design I was responsible for writing many of the network tutorials and articles, which were also made avaiable in downloadable format.
The second half of this project was to develop a web-based helpdesk system. The helpdesk system was to facilitate the work of ResNET in responding to student connectivity issues. The helpdesk was coded with PHP and had a MySQL database backend. I was responsible for the entire life cycle of the project from concept, layout & design, and database architecture. The sytem also included a reporting tool, that allowed top level personnel to view call volume, resolution times as well as the common types of issues reported.
